10 questions with Liam Rushton.

1. What was your first job?

I stumbled across a paper round when I was about 13. I just asked the Liverpool Echo deliveryman if they were looking for a paperboy and struck gold!

2. How did you get into the building industry?

After I finished sixth form I wanted to get onto the working ladder. The building industry is so varied and there are numerous career prospects and paths.

3. What is your day to day role?

I’m currently learning how to produce Flood Risk reports and learning the basics of SAP Calculations. Aside from this, I help with general enquiries and providing quotes to clients.

4. What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

Calm is a superpower.

5. Coffee or tea?

I used to prefer tea but that has changed since working at base!

6. Proudest achievement to date?

Winning cross country in year 4 of course.

7. How do you like to unwind?

Spending time with family/friends and watching anything sports related.

8. What would you say to young people entering the industry?

Have ambition and be willing to try new things.

9. If you ruled the world for a day…

Swap the lives of the rich with the poor – fair tax payments too..

10. What’s the best thing about working at Base?

It may be cliché but the people.
